Joycie's story began in the 1990s as a High Fashion Model with the prestigious John Casablanca Model Management. This experience not only honed her understanding of the fashion world but also ignited a spark that would fuel her future endeavors. Never one to rest, in 2016 Joycie pursued higher education in Management of Fashion and Luxury Companies programs with the esteemed University Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. Her early experiences in Tourism and Travel Management, coupled with a decade-long career in the Airline Industry, equipped her with a unique blend of skills that would prove invaluable in her future roles.
In 1996, Joycie took a bold step by founding Caribbean Collections Fashion Week. This platform became a launchpad for countless Saint Lucian designers, both emerging and established. As a cultural ambassador, she worked tirelessly with the government of Saint Lucia, designers, costume makers, and dressmakers, weaving together fashion and cultural identity.
Joycie's leadership skills shone brightly when she was elected President of the SFC in 2016. Under her guidance, the organization flourished, bringing designers into the spotlight and nurturing new talent through initiatives like the Emerging Designers competition and fashion programs for the students.
In 2017, Joycie established the Saint Lucia Fashion Awards Scheme, a testament to her commitment to recognizing and celebrating the contributions of creative professionals in the industry. that same year Joycie founded the Miss Saint Lucia Pageant brand representing Miss Universe.
