In 2001, after graduating from the Saint Petersburg State University of Technology and Design, Alena Akhmadullina founded her brand. That same year, her first prêt-à-porter collection was released, which the designer presented at Russian Fashion Week. In 2005 her brand entered the international stage of Paris Fashion Week, demonstrating its unique style inspired by the heritage of Russian culture and history, becoming the personification of modern Russian fashion in the eyes of the world community.

Among her major projects are the creation of costumes for the participants of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Closing Ceremony, the development of images for the artists of the Cirque du Soleil show, the creation of a special Alena Akhmadullina x Barbie collection, the launch of a 3D clothing capsule, and a collaboration with the Khokhloma folk art in 2024. Today, the brand continues to live successfully and richly and maintain its status as one of the most recognizable Russian brands. This year the Alena Akhmadullina fashion house celebrates its 25th anniversary.
