Ajai is popularly known as the person who revived the fashion design industry of Sri Lanka in the last 22 years. He fathered Sri Lanka’s fashion development movement and as a result close to 80% of fashion designers we see today are the product of this fashion development platform. Today CFW is the backbone of Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry and one of South Asia’s most important fashion platforms. Ajai won a Global Effie in New York for a program he authored ‘Garments without Guilt’.

He also created Responsible Meter a garment sustainability evaluation tool. He has expanded his scope to include Arts and Culture into a platform to build Softpower profile for Sri Lanka.
